SIAMS report

SIAMS

Dilton Marsh CE Primary School is proud to announce that it has received a grade of “OUTSTANDING” for its recent SIAMS inspection across ALL areas.  This is a huge testament to the hard work of all the children, staff, parents and Academy Council members of the school.

About SIAMS

All Church of England Dioceses and the Methodist Church use the National Society’s framework for the Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005. The framework sets out the expectations for the conduct of the Statutory Inspection of Anglican, Methodist and ecumenical Schools under Section 48 of the Education Act 2005 and provides a process for evaluating the extent to which church schools are “distinctively and recognisably Christian institutions”.

Inspection focus

As part of the inspection we were judged on the distinctiveness and effectiveness of Dilton Marsh as a Church School, how the school through its distinctive Christian character meets the needs of all learners, the impact of collective worship on the school community and the effectiveness of leadership and management of the school.  During the day the inspector spent time talking to the children, staff, parents and governors as well as observing a Collective Worship and conducting a walkthrough and observations around the school in order to arrive at a judgement.
